It all started with one trip in 2009. Some of my former teaching colleagues asked me if I would put together a tour to Washington, D.C., and the Marion Wanderers was born. Over the next 13 years our journeys took us to Savannah, Charleston, Branson, New York City, Cape Cod, San Francisco, Boston, Philadelphia, Montreal, San Antonio, Mount Rushmore, New Orleans, Annapolis, and Williamsburg. The special bond that I developed with these dear friends is reflected in the name my wife, Susan, and I have chosen for our business. Five years ago we transitioned into the Carefree Wanderer business, and many of the original “Wanderers” are supporting our new endeavor.
